Long or Short?

The Story Of New Zealand Squash

By Joseph Romanos

Some sports in New Zealand – most notably rugby union and cricket – are fortunate because their history is well documented through annuals, almanacks and a never-ending supply of biographies. Squash has never enjoyed that sort of coverage.

Even at its membership height in the early 1980s, it was more a sport that was played widely than written about.
But our sport here has a wonderful history, dating back to the early years of the 20th century, which makes it so pleasing that Joseph Romanos has written this book.
